We encourage you to use Design Thinking in a Box tools with your agency and other third parties. Just remember that all the content is proprietary and NDAs should always be in place before sharing.

Design Thinking in a Box doesn’t replace IMF. These tools can help you to better understand your consumer needs and come up with better ideas that are always grounded in true consumer insights to improve your outcome as you move through the IMF stages. To learn more, you can reach out to the Design Thinking masters from your region or category.

To use the Miro tools most effectively, you should duplicate the entire board for your personal use. You can sign up for a free Miro account, access the KC Way of Design Thinking master board. Please note that Miro is best used in the Chrome browser.

From there you can click on the title of the board and select Duplicate from the pop-up.

This will copy the board to your personal Miro area. Now you can edit, copy, duplicate and use the board.

Option 1 – On the Miro tools board, you’ll notice each tool has a drop-shadow. Click on the shadow (without clicking on the actual tool) of your desired tool, then the ellipsis on the tool bar, then ‘Export as image.’ The resulting image will be 16 x 9, perfect for landscape PowerPoint slides.

Option 2 – Download the the PDF tool then drag it directly into your presentation. From there, you can crop the PDF for a better fit on the slide.

Design Thinking is an iterative process that practices empathy to ideate on potential solutions; it’s about answering the “why” before the “what.” Market research will help – among other things – to formally qualify ideas.
